Counseling Skills

The Team at Better Minds has conducted regular training programs and workshops for providing different groups of people with Counseling Skills. Some of these programs have been conducted in capacity of Expert Faculty for institutions such as National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD), National Institute of Social Defense (NISD), etc. The groups covered as part of these programs include:

  • Government officials, NGOs and SAARC officials who have been trained to provide ‘counseling services to victims/survivors of child trafficking’
  • Officials of the Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board who have been trained to provide ‘counseling services to children and adolescents in need of special protection’
  • Trainers of Community Health (Anganwadi) workers
  • NGO workers in the area of ‘Child Abuse, Neglect and Trauma’
  • Police officials working in the Crime Against Women cell who have been trained to deal with ‘women in distress or the women who have faced domestic violence’
  • Officers of Public and Private Sector Institutions focusing on ‘Sexual Harassment in the Workplace’
  • Students of the National Institute of Self Defense (NISD) who have been trained in ‘counseling skills for Geriatric Care, Alcohol Abuse and De-Addiction’
  • Medical and Paramedical Staff at the Global Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mount Abu who have been trained in ‘Basic Counseling Skills’
